EVACustom liners, removable spacers and assembly pads

In these EDC examples, EVA does not form the metal fidget body. It becomes a slotted liner, a removable spacer or an assembly pad, giving storage, fit and positioning a specific component boundary.

Four maker articles place EVA in three different roles: a custom carrying-case liner, a packaging layer for the product and cards, and a small pad used while installing magnets. Locating the part before reading dimensions and fit limits keeps the case shell, outer package and magnets separate from EVA.

The articles do not state EVA grade, density, vinyl-acetate content, foam formulation or flocking composition. This page retains only the structure and dimensional conditions stated for each product. A resin maker’s page explains the EVA name but does not authenticate the formulation of any finished EDC item.

Chapter One

From a resin name to a finished component

EVA commonly refers to ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. One Dow ELVAX™ product page explicitly describes its product as an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin and lists structural foam moulding plus sheet and shape extrusion among its uses.

That background only shows that the EVA material family can enter foaming and forming processes. The specific grade, properties and uses on that page do not transfer automatically to the four EDC products here, whose maker articles do not provide enough data for a grade match.

Chapter Two

MTAK custom case: two layers and removable spacers

The MTAK carrying case uses two custom EVA liner layers. Each layer has twelve MTAK slots, for twenty-four in total. The maker specifies compatibility with MTAK knuckle models, explicitly excluding V3.

Each slot also has a removable 6 mm EVA spacer for thinner MTAK versions, with thin CHEERS and Candy given as examples. The 6 mm figure belongs to the spacer; it is neither the total liner thickness nor a universal compensation value.

Chapter Three

Xian cos: one package for the product and cards

In the packaging-upgrade section for Xian cos, the maker says the EVA liner protects the product and can also hold a business card and product identity card. The image shows the fitted interior; the outer lid, plastic bag and anti-counterfeit label remain separate packaging components.

No liner thickness, hardness or foam expansion ratio is given. Nor does the source label every black part in the package as EVA. The supported claim is therefore the explicitly named liner and its uses, rather than a material assignment based on colour.

Chapter Four

Star Pivot: a one-piece moulded flocked EVA recess

The custom case supplied for the Star Pivot spinner uses a one-piece moulded flocked EVA inner recess shaped around the spinner body. Its clear window, outer shell, clasp and nameplate position are other parts of the case.

“Flocked” describes the surface of this particular recess. The article does not identify the flock fibre, adhesive or base formulation, and it gives no dimensional tolerance. Its claim of a close fit should not be rewritten as a measured dimensional tolerance.

Chapter Five

TITA-PRO: EVA pads assist a 6 mm magnet installation

The TITA-PRO accessory pack includes black EVA pads, both adhesive-backed and non-adhesive, to assist installation of 5 × 6 mm magnets. The maker explains that the magnet-positioning block supports only 5 × 4 mm magnets and cannot directly support the 6 mm thickness.

This relationship belongs to the TITA-PRO setup in that tutorial. The EVA pad is not the magnet itself, and the article does not establish the same method for other sizes, modes or products.

Chapter Six

Separate EVA from the materials around it

First decide whether EVA is the full slotted liner, a removable spacer inside one slot, or a small installation pad. Then record the case shell, clasp, window, flocked surface, magnet and product body as separate parts, keeping each dimension with the component named in the source.

A photograph can locate the soft liner or pad, but it cannot provide density, hardness, service life or chemical formulation. Maker claims about protection, fit and holding belong to each finished structure rather than to every EVA material.

The Xian cos package shows an EVA liner supporting the product and card storage. MTAK removable spacers, the Star Pivot flocked recess and TITA-PRO assembly pads show three different structures in the source text.

PIECES IN EVA

Xian cos uses a full fitted liner for its product and cards. By comparison, an MTAK spacer compensates for a thinner version, while a TITA-PRO pad serves a specific magnet installation.
