PLA · Polylactic AcidMechanical sliders, magnetic assemblies and printed display stands
PLA can form the exterior parts of a fidget or the platform of a display stand. Reinforcement, mixed materials and small metal components each tell a different part of the construction story.
HAOTZ uses PLA and PLA PRO in different sliders. KAIS offers a printed PLA display alongside a wooden version, while SAS specifies PLA mixed with carbon fibre for a display stand. These are individual product applications, each with its own construction and material claims.
The mechanical-slider article does not disclose the specific formulation of PLA PRO. 3D printing describes a shaping process, and a PLA + PETG label does not by itself establish melt blending. The source and the component arrangement provide the detail behind these compact objects.

Mechanical Mouse: PLA PRO is the maker’s material label
HAOTZ specifies PLA PRO for its Mechanical Mouse and says it is harder than ordinary PLA, producing stronger vibration feedback in the hand. The article gives no supplier grade, hardness scale or comparison test, so the claim remains specific to this product.
The elongated assembly incorporates locating posts and grooves, while the disassembled photograph also shows small metal components. Material choice and geometry both contribute to the feel; the letters PLA alone cannot explain the sound or tactile steps.
Later in the article, a forthcoming metal Mechanical Mouse and Wasteland series appear as a separate product plan. That announcement does not change the construction of the PLA version already released.
PLA PRO exterior parts work with small metal components in the assembly; the material label does not describe every part.
Infinite Mouse: screws and magnets work together
HAOTZ specifies PLA for the Infinite Mouse, with 5 mm diameter N52 magnets at its four corners. The maker describes this as its first glue-free design, secured with screws. Here, 5 mm and N52 describe the magnets, not the PLA.
The maker links the removable construction to scope for customization. The printed parts, magnets and screws can be examined separately. This article does not call the material PLA PRO, so that label should not be transferred from the Mechanical Mouse.
The Infinite Mouse article specifies PLA and a glue-free design secured with screws. The magnets and screws are separate materials.
Display stands: a printed PLA option beside a wooden version
In its 2026 Shanghai exhibition announcement, KAIS first introduces a five-slot black-walnut display, then a separate brown-and-black 3D-printed PLA version in five-slot and ten-slot formats. These are different material options.
The printed version comes with an acrylic cover and a 3D-printed support, with a broken-pattern display surface. The source specifies how the support is made but does not separately identify its polymer, so it does not establish that every printed component uses the same PLA grade.
KAIS notes that the printed surface details are not perfect. This is the maker’s description of the finished stand; the metal and other fidgets placed inside remain separate objects.

Pyramid display: carbon-fibre material plus an acrylic panel
SAS describes its David King display as PLA mixed with carbon fibre, with a luminous design on the back panels. The complete pyramid includes two single-slot panels, one three-slot panel, one clear acrylic panel and a magnetic base. The parts list therefore identifies an acrylic component alongside the overall material description.
The complete pyramid measures 185 × 185 × 165 mm; the separate triangular display measures 110 × 135 × 160 mm. Single-slot and three-slot panels are also offered with individual bases, which are not magnetic.
The luminous composition and carbon-fibre proportion are undisclosed. No technical data from a particular industrial reinforced PLA can be assigned to this stand.
Zhenzhengu: the relationship between PLA and PETG remains unspecified
Yuanhe EDC describes its 3D-printed Zhenzhengu as using a PLA + PETG mixed material overall. The top provides stepped sound feedback, while the underside combines a magnetic-ball vibration mechanism with sound. These mechanisms are separate from the material description.
The article does not explain whether PLA and PETG are melt-blended, used in separate parts or combined in another way, and gives no proportions. Both names can be retained without assigning a formulation to each surface or internal component.
Polylactic acid, printing and compostability are different questions
PLA stands for polylactic acid. NatureWorks uses its Ingeo materials to explain PLA breakdown under suitable conditions, while emphasizing that finished products still require their own compostability testing. Temperature, moisture and time affect the process.
This does not establish that these EDC products use Ingeo, or that a PLA toy will quickly break down at home or in the natural environment. The useful starting points remain the specific product’s materials, assembly and intended conditions.
