Carbon FibreWoven handles, patterned plates and mixed-material sliders
Carbon fibre can form a handle body, a replaceable upper cover, or just a triangular plate on a metal fidget box.
Carbon fibre in EDC goes beyond a black weave. Blue fragments, luminous triangular plates and Tanma versions incorporating brass or copper give these products quite different appearances.
Start with the part that uses it, then look at the weave, material combination and configuration. Photographs show the appearance; the original material lists distinguish the body, side plates and decorative faces.

EDCELL-STUDIO lists two materials for its updated Breaker handle: a carbon-fibre body and titanium-alloy side plates. In the comparison photograph, the upper handle carries a dark weave down to its base, with a silver-coloured side plate defining the edge. The carbon-fibre specification applies to the handle, not to the metal components above it.
The new handle is both longer and thicker than the metal handle shown below it. EDCELL also states that it no longer fits the original base. A material update can come with a dimensional change, making accessory compatibility worth checking alongside the pattern.

ACEdc limits this Shangshangqian update to the upper cover, offering JUMA Dragon Scale and Blue Crystal carbon fibre as separate material options. In the carbon-fibre photograph, bright blue fragments break up a black surface, while the round openings and beads divide the face into smaller areas.
Blue Crystal follows the product name. The release gives no fibre grade, resin type or composition for the blue areas, so the name alone does not establish quartz, ceramic or any particular additive. The upper cover specification also does not describe the whole Shangshangqian.

BidRush EDC assigns different materials to different parts of Xiaohezi, its compact fidget box. One release lists TC4 with a black PVD finish for the upper body and base, copper for the gold-coloured ornament on the upper body, and luminous carbon fibre for the triangular ornaments on the upper and lower covers. The black body, gold-coloured rectangle and patterned triangle make those separate roles visible.
The same release shows a triangular plate glowing green. A later stainless-steel Xiaohezi release describes its plates as rose-gold forged-carbon chips and explicitly says that version is not luminous. Rose-gold is retained here as the appearance wording in the release, not a statement of gold content.
For a particular Xiaohezi configuration, check the body material, plate appearance and luminescence separately. Similar triangular outlines can carry different plate versions.

KSEDCstudio names the Tanma versions individually in its Lucky Candy 2.0 catalogue. Black-gold Tanma is listed as brass and carbon fibre; Purple-gold Tanma as copper, brass and carbon fibre. Both have a lightly polished finish. In the opened views, the first has irregular black and gold-coloured patterns, while the second also shows pink areas.
The catalogue also includes Satin Tanma, listed as forged carbon fibre with a lightly polished finish. Its photograph shows fine grey and black lines. These are the maker’s version names and material lists; the colour of an individual line does not identify which metal it contains.
The listed weights are 28 g for Black-gold Tanma, 39 g for Purple-gold Tanma and 22 g for Satin Tanma. Those figures belong to the three Lucky Candy versions. They do not establish the density of carbon fibre, a general weight saving or the weight of another product.
Beyond the weave: sheet construction and configuration
Matrix EDC uses carbon-fibre sheet in its PPB. The release describes CNC machining from a full sheet, combining an outer woven layer with inner plain-weave cloth. The mini comes in plain-weave and twill options, separating the choice of weave from the shape of the part.
The two PPB sizes also differ in configuration. The larger version is 45 mm in diameter and 6 mm thick, uses a 1625 thrust bearing, and can be used alone or with a nylon wheel-style outer ring. The mini is 40 mm in diameter and 8 mm thick, uses a 1423 thrust bearing and adds chamfered edges. Large and mini therefore involve diameter, thickness and bearing choice, rather than a single measure of size.
The specification image for another Matrix carbon-fibre slider lists a body CNC-machined from carbon-fibre sheet and a separate PCB face panel with an immersion-gold finish. The visible decorative face can be a different material from the carbon-fibre body beneath it.
Fibre, matrix and pattern answer different questions
A carbon-fibre composite is not a block of pure carbon. Toray’s prepreg department description distinguishes the reinforcing carbon fibre from the resin matrix used to impregnate it. For an EDC product, the maker still needs to disclose the matrix, fibre form and formulation; the products here cannot be assumed to share a resin or supplier.
SAS gives a specific matrix description for its Daweiwang display stand: polylactic acid, or PLA, mixed with carbon fibre. Its set also includes a clear acrylic panel and a magnetic base, so that material description does not cover every component.
Forged also needs its source context. Lamborghini’s Forged Composites® technical sheet describes a material combining short carbon fibres with resin. The EDC releases here use terms such as forged carbon fibre and forged-carbon chips without identifying that technology. Similar wording does not establish the same supplier or formulation.
Finally, a pattern may only be an imitation. BPMODS explicitly describes the film on its green-finished stainless-steel Price Tag as having an imitation carbon-fibre pattern. A carbon-fibre look alone does not prove that the part contains carbon fibre.
