Cobalt is a documented polished configuration of the Element fidget spinner. Its accompanying material card is a better way to identify the version than the silver-coloured finish alone.
Ele Fidget Spinner listed polished cobalt among the first-release configurations in its 25 April 2025 announcement, with an advertised weight of 87 g. A pre-owned Element Cobalt documented by TRB has an accompanying card marked “Cobalt polish”, providing a photographic reference for that configuration.

Reading the surface through the packaging
The photographs show a rounded triangular outline, a circular central button and reflective silver-coloured surfaces. The spinner remains in a transparent bag, whose creases and printing obscure fine detail. These images help identify the outline and accompanying material card; they are less useful for judging small scratches on the uncovered surface.
“Polish” identifies the advertised finish, while cobalt identifies the material configuration. Both matter: a silver-coloured appearance alone does not distinguish cobalt from stainless steel or other metals.
Where the 87 g figure belongs
The maker listed polished cobalt at 87 g and scheduled the first release for 20 May. That weight is the maker’s specification for the configuration, not a TRB measurement of the pre-owned object in these photographs. The announcement itself does not establish when orders were actually dispatched.
The stainless-steel and zirconium configurations in the same announcement have separate weights and finishes. Sharing a family name does not make those specifications interchangeable. Weight alone does not establish spin time, stability or feel.
Material identity and component scope
Cobalt is the element Co. The Royal Society of Chemistry provides background on the element; the maker’s configuration list and this object’s card provide the evidence for identifying the product version.
The maker gave a general statement of 3N-or-higher or 4N purity for several ordinary-metal configurations, without a sample-specific assay in the cobalt listing. The available record also does not itemise the bearing and every internal part. A cobalt configuration therefore does not establish that every component is made of cobalt.
Appearance and performance are separate questions
The most immediate visual features are the reflective metal surface and compact rounded outline. When examining a traded example, compare the configuration card with photographs of the actual object and its surface condition. Neither the photographs nor the release specifications provide a controlled spin test, so this guide makes no measured claims about smoothness, noise or endurance.
