PVCFrom colourful inlays to everyday stickers
In EDC, PVC can provide a surface's pattern and decoration while the main body remains metal. The Ice Snake inlays and CHAOS stickers show two different places to look for it.
The same PVC label appears in a custom finish for a titanium-alloy fidget and in flat stickers supplied with a patch set. The material name is shared; the product form and scope of use are different.
PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride. Different formulations can produce flexible or rigid items. Descriptions such as matte, iridescent or glow-in-the-dark still need to be read alongside the material and the specific configuration.

Ice Snake: PVC and PET in the surface
SEKI's January 2026 introduction to Fengren 1.1 collects custom treatments by several makers. TIDESHARK's Ice Snake scheme lists ice-patterned glow-in-the-dark PVC, plus glow-in-the-dark PET inlays. The same article separately identifies the titanium-snake Fengren body as titanium alloy.
The two photographed sides show purple, blue and pale-green scale areas, with the SEKI mark retained on the reverse. These coloured inlays distinguish this custom finish; they do not make the complete fidget a PVC-bodied product.
The description does not map each PET and PVC region or disclose luminous additives, thicknesses or proportions. A daylight photograph is not a brightness or afterglow-duration test, and the ice-pattern process description does not supply a complete manufacturing specification.
CHAOS: look for the flat stickers
The CHAOS set's raised patches and flat stickers share the frame. The original description specifically assigns matte PVC to the supplied stickers, not automatically to the raised patches.
In its November 2024 CHAOS introduction, MTAK first describes raised relief, a matte texture and 3 × 3 cm square patches, then introduces matching stickers supplied with the set. It is this second item that is described as matte PVC.
The photograph puts both forms together: the raised patches sit above flat coloured designs on a backing sheet. It shows how the same pattern becomes two different accessories—and why appearing in one picture or one set does not establish a shared material.
The listed set contains nine square patches, one loop-fabric backing panel and one nine-square sticker sheet. PVC is recorded here for the included stickers; the adhesive, coating formulation and composition of the patch bodies are not specified.
Iridescent PVC: material plus surface effect
A separate November 2025 product roundup lists iridescent PVC among the materials and effects used in handmade decorative faceplates offered in blind boxes. The list also includes imitation-shell paper and several decorative or colour-changing effects. It does not provide a single formulation shared by every faceplate.
Iridescence therefore remains an appearance description for that scheme, rather than a separate base material. Nor does the list establish identical PVC use in every design. This text example explains the naming boundary without using an unrelated faceplate photograph as material evidence.
A material name is not a surface specification
The British Plastics Federation explains that additives affect PVC products and that plasticisers can make PVC flexible. This explains how PVC can serve different product forms, but does not identify any particular additive in the examples here.
Matte describes the stickers' surface, while glow-in-the-dark belongs to the specific Ice Snake inlay scheme. Neither follows from the letters PVC alone. Wear, fading, adhesive life and cleaning requirements need product-specific instructions or tests.
The Fengren article also covers other makers' treatments, whose care instructions cannot simply be transferred to Ice Snake. When identifying or replacing a decorative part, its maker, compatible edition and exact finish are more useful than the PVC label alone.
