Tungsten AlloyWhere the weight goes matters as much as the total

Tungsten alloy can be the main material of a spinner, or work alongside titanium with the heavier components placed around the outside.

Bio-LENTIC contrasts outer blades with an open central body; Element names a specific grade, 95WNiFe. They offer two useful ways to read a tungsten version.

Material, weight distribution, buttons and added balls all belong to the finished configuration. A name containing “tungsten” still leaves the exact composition to be checked.

CHAPTER 01

Bio-LENTIC: two materials in different positions

FairyWorks’ 2026 Shanghai exhibition preview introduces Bio-LENTIC in a version named “Ti × Tungsten Silver”. The open central body is polished titanium alloy, while the outer blades are stonewashed tungsten alloy, joined through what the maker calls “3D inlay”.

The centre has bright, continuous curved surfaces between its openings, with blades around the outer ends. FairyWorks describes this as a design with more weight outside and less inside. Approximately 86 g is the weight of the complete mixed-material configuration, not the weight of the tungsten-alloy blades alone.

“Tungsten Silver” translates the release’s version name; the detailed material description says tungsten alloy. Without a composition record, the word “silver” does not establish silver content or a tungsten–silver composite.

CHAPTER 02

Element: a grade gives a more specific starting point

The precision-machined 95WNiFe version in the second Element release, with an advertised weight of 175 g.

Ele’s July 2025 preview of the second Element batch lists this version as precision-machined 95WNiFe, at 175 g. The close-up shows fine machining marks changing direction over curved surfaces, in contrast to Bio-LENTIC’s combination of polishing and stonewashing.

W, Ni and Fe identify tungsten, nickel and iron. The stated grade gives more information than a broad “tungsten” label. It is retained as the maker’s specification; test values from another manufacturer’s similar material are not treated as measurements of this spinner.

CHAPTER 03

Jianchihu: weight before and after adding balls

The second release of G-ingEDC’s Jianchihu · Yinya includes a tungsten-alloy version. The reference weights for each material are stated without added balls, and the article says an added-ball configuration can increase weight by up to 26 g.

The recommended setup was revised to eight balls: two at 6 mm, two at 7 mm and four at 8 mm. This followed reports of binding with two 5 mm balls in the earlier stainless-steel version. That earlier issue should not be attributed to tungsten alloy.

For a configurable spinner, material, buttons and the presence of added balls all matter when comparing weight. Surface colour also carries a random-allocation condition; a photograph of one version is not a fixed colour sample for every delivered piece.

CHAPTER 04

Distinguishing tungsten material families

Plansee’s material references list tungsten heavy alloys separately from tungsten-copper composites. Some heavy alloys use nickel–iron or nickel–copper binder phases, and properties such as magnetism differ by series. “Tungsten alloy” therefore means neither pure tungsten nor an automatically non-magnetic material.

This guide focuses on EDC examples explicitly described as tungsten alloy or given a WNiFe grade. Tungsten copper has a different material combination; the Chinese trade term often translated as “tungsten steel” also needs its own composition check. A specific grade is more useful than a broad shorthand.
