Slide, return, then look at the lock
Hold one side and slide the other along its rails. The metal launch brings rails, a self-locking structure and a middle plate into one mechanical assembly.
DZ describes the separate-track design as having a bouncy feel. The movement and mechanism are explained here; resistance and sound level still need testing of the particular setup.
Concealed rails
The rails sit within the slim profile and guide the two parts as they move relative to each other.
Hitch self-locking structure
The metal launch instructions use a release pin: depress the ball, then slide the parts apart. Reverse the procedure to reassemble.
Two ball tracks and a replaceable plate
The launch uses a detent plate. The design allows the middle plate to be replaced and the number of balls to be adjusted.
Hold the lower part with the upper part aligned to its rails.
Relative motion only; not an internal diagram or a measurement of travel or sound.
- Hold the lower part with the upper part aligned to its rails.
- Slide the upper part so the two parts move out of alignment.
- Slide back along the rails to the starting position.
What still needs hands-on testing?
The retained sources describe the mechanism but provide no comparable measurements of sliding resistance, sound level or tuning setups. Material names do not establish sound, and a design carried over from Top-F does not establish interchangeable parts.
One size, four weights
All four 2025 metal launch editions measure 55.0 × 20.0 × 6.6 mm. Compare their listed weights and finishes alongside the material names.
If lower weight matters, start with titanium. For a blue or black finish, look at titanium or zirconium respectively. These are the maker’s metal launch figures; the original image notes minor variation between actual pieces.
Titanium · 21.6 g
The lowest listed weight among the four metal editions, with blue anodizing on the body.
Zirconium · 37.7 g
A heat-blackened, polished body, with a listed weight between titanium and steel or brass.
Steel / brass · 45.0 / 47.2 g
Stainless steel at 45.0 g and brass at 47.2 g are the two heavier metal editions. The brass product photo shows a gold-toned appearance.
Clear or amber: look inside too
The October 2025 update introduced clear PC and amber PEI. Both are complete editions. Their factory list includes a detent plate, rail springs, POM balls and ceramic balls.
The maker’s disassembly photo below shows a PEI body and its internal parts. Choose PC for a clear appearance or PEI for an amber tone. Complete weight and external dimensions remain unverified for both, so a like-for-like weight comparison with the metal editions is not yet available.

Start with weight
The four metal editions share one specification image and can be compared directly. PC/PEI weights remain open.
Then choose the appearance
Choose metals by material and documented finish. Clear and amber bodies correspond to PC and PEI respectively.
Match parts to the edition
An included part is not proof of separate availability. Before buying a plate, spring or ball, confirm separate supply and compatibility.
